Bowlers show on the 3rd day at the MCG

After the first two days was in full favour of Indian batsman in India vs Australia 3rd Test match, 3rd day of the Boxing Day Test match come out as bowlers show.

The 3rd day starts with Australia national cricket team at 8/0. The Australian team was 435 runs behind of Indian team.

On the 3rd day of the match, the total of 15 wickets falls, with team Indian restricted Australia on 151-10. In the reply at the end of the day, Australia stops Indian team at 54-5.

Jasprit Bumrah of India team bowled his magnificent spell with giving just 33 runs in 15.5 over’s and took 6 wickets of the Australian team. With this Jasprit Bumrah became the first Asian bowler to take a five-fer in each of Australia, England and South Africa in the same calendar year:

With the help of Bumrah’s 6, Jadeja’s 2, and Ishant and Shami’s 1-1 wickets Indian national cricket team restricted Australia to 151 runs and took a lead of 292 runs.

Indian team come to bat for 2nd innings with a lead of 292 runs but as it was a bowlers day, Australian bowlers also bowled tremendously and took back to back wickets of the Indian team. At the end of the third day, they restricted Indian team to 54/5.

Pat Cummins of Australian team took 4 wickets for 10 runs in the 2nd innings with not conceding any run in 15th over and picking up 2 wickets. The last and the 15th wicket was taken by Hazlewood was of Rohit Sharma.

At the end of the day, Indian team is 54/5 with the debutant Mayank Agarwal on 28* runs and Rishabh Pant on 6* runs with the lead by 346 runs and 5 wickets in hand.

India’s Tour of Australia will now face the third test match of the four-match test series at Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26.
