Here is what Virat Kohli said after the loss in Perth Test

India’s Tour of Australia will now face the third test match of the four-match test series at Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26. Australia National Cricket Team now on leveled the test series 1-1.

India National Cricket Team had lost half the battle when Virat Kohli was dismissed for 17 by Nathan Lyon. Previously on Day 3 at Perth, India’s Skipper Virat Kohli became the second fastest player to score 25 Test centuries after Don Bradman.

But at the post-match presentation, Captain Virat Kohli did not talk about his 123 as he felt it was irrelevant because India had lost. He said, "When you don't win you don't really rank your performances so it's irrelevant because we didn't get the result we wanted. I'm just focused on the next Test,".

Virat’s dismissal was the major highlight of the match. Virat said that as a team he thinks that they played well in patches which they can hold onto. As per him, Australia played much better than them with the bat and they deserved to win. He felt that 330 on that pitch was too much.

Virat Kohli feels that their bowlers are outstanding as a pack. He said “To see them dominate was really good to see and something we want to build on. They are relentless even if they aren't getting wickets which is a great quality.”

Kohli added, “We thought four quicks would be enough. Nathan Lyon bowled really well on this wicket. With the skill levels and consistency that he has to get something out of this wicket was really good. We never thought about the spin option to be honest,”.

Skipper Virat Kohli said the thought of having a spinner for the second Test never crossed his mind as he believed that India's four-pronged pace attack would work. Now everything is perfectly set up for the Boxing Test match on December 26 with Team India having back the all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
